Reimu learned to fly sitting or standing upright, but has observed visitors to the village and shrine from the various infernal and celestial realms use a variety of modes of flight, so she experiments. One incantation she tried was using swimming as a metaphor. She tested it in an uninhabited realm. Afterward, she remarked to Sanae that "It\'s too sensual to use in public, and anyway it\'s too slow".
