Howdy fellow men (and women?) of culture,This project took me a long time to make, as I learned an entirely new work flow. There were a couple of mistakes along the way, resulting in two separate renders, both in Blender Cycles (Alas, Poor Yorick! I knew those two months well). There are still some denoising artifacts even with Optix temporal denoise, but c\'est la vie. For future works, I think I will use less busy scenes and simpler materials, especially on the character. Izumi\'s facial expressions could have also benefited from more attention.For anyone curious, the big cloud in the background is called a Mandelbulb. It is a generalization of the famous Mandelbrot set into 3D space.Credits for resources used are at the end of the video.I\'d appreciate any comments on production, enjoyment, disappointment, hopes, dreams, and/or suggestions for future work.My old uploads have been struck by Iwara\'s perpetual "Processing video" problem.
